Issues that Could Lead to a Fast Home Sale

By JemimaPoppy Blog, Repossession No Comments

It’s not just fear of repossession that can lead to wanting to sell your house quickly. It could simply be that a new job or change in circumstances requires you to relocate as soon as possible. Some people simply don’t want the hassle of estate agents and the long drawn out process of putting a house on the market. For all these and many more, selling quickly for cash is a logical option. Yet it is not one to be taken lightly and should be thought through very carefully before being committed to.

If you are feeling stressed out about certain factors of your current home and its location rather than your own circumstances, make a rational assessment rather than rushing into a decision to sell for cash. There may be a simple solution.

Local amenities are an intrinsic part of any community and so it is understandable that you should want to live somewhere that has what you need. Everyone is different though so compromise is almost inevitable. If all the essentials are nearby then perhaps weigh up how important the peripheries are against the aggravation of moving house. Remind yourself why you chose to be there in the first place and see if it still applies.

Public transport is another factor that can understandably become quite frustrating if it is not regular and you are remote, without a car. Cost is undoubtedly an issue as well as frequency of buses in towns and villages.

But with fast-paced lifestyles, we have become far more accustomed to having things on our doorstep or within easy reach. Many of these things are actually luxuries that we take for granted. Work out your priorities in a practical way. Do you feel isolated or just occasionally frustrated? Are you close to town and shops but far from an airport? If so, how often do you need to get to those destinations and is it worth selling your house over?

Being surrounded by concrete and manmade structures can prove quite affecting on our mood if we are not there by choice. Green spaces are good for our health and wellbeing, as well as providing somewhere to interact with other members of the community. They are also great for dog walking and of course give children a place to play away from cars and breakable windows.

Being very close to a green space often adds value to a home, yet here in the UK we don’t have to travel far to climb a tree. Even central London has vast parks and wild areas. Urban farms and gardens are becoming more and more popular with people finding new and innovative ways to bring nature to their own doorsteps. With a little research, you can do the same rather than selling your house.

If you really feel like you no longer live in the right location then work out the best way to sell, or even rent out your house. Remember that what doesn’t suit you will almost definitely suit someone else so only sell for cash if you need a fast turnaround.
